Perry v. Brown
Perry v. Brown (formerly Perry v. Schwarzenegger) is a case decided by the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit on February 7, 2012. A three-judge panel of the 9th Circuit reviewed and affirmed the judgment of the United States District Court for the Northern District of California, which found that Proposition 8, a 2008 California ballot initiative that amended the state constitution to restrict marriage to opposite-sex couples, was unconstitutional.
